| Grout can be protected from stains,
mineral deposits and mildew by cleaning up spills and
debris promptly and with regular maintenance. Certain
grout products such as latex or acrylic additives in
the grout mix can help reduce stains but the best protection
overall is to seal your grout- as well as your tile.
Like waxing your car, you’re applying an outer
layer of protection over your investment. |
| |
| When grout has been stained and discolored
there are some options you might want to consider: |
| 1.) |
CLEANING -Try
cleaning the stains with warm water and a mild
detergent using a Scotch-Brite pad and some elbow
grease. If this doesn’t work try our Stone
and Tile Cleaner. This product also cleans
the grout stains you’re trying to get rid
of. |
 |
| 2.) |
GROUT SEALER -
sometimes you can hide stains and calcium deposits
by simply sealing your grout. We sell a professional Grout
Sealer which applies easily and will restore
the grout more to its’ original look while
uniforming the color and protecting the grout
at the same time. |
 |
| 3.) |
GROUT COLORANT -
If your grout is stained and discolored but still
appears intact and level with no missing chunks,
this option might be the answer. We sell a leading
brand Grout
Colorant from
Colorfast Industries that once applied, also
seals and protects sanded or non-sanded grout.
We offer the colorant in all the major tile grout
colors. |
